NEW BALANCE UPDATES 1260 PREMIUM STABILITY RUNNING SHOE FOR FALL 2015

Release Date: 01 Oct 2014
New Balance Running 1260v5

Boston, October 2014 – New Balance will introduce the fifth generation of its 1260 premium stability series, the New Balance 1260v5. Part of the NBx running line-up, the 1260v5 utilizes enhanced technologies and intelligent geometries to deliver premium stability in a luxurious, smooth, cushioned ride. The 1260v5 will launch in July of 2015 and the suggested retail price is $149.95.

An asymmetrical heel counter and a dual density post on the medial side are utilized again in this series to reduce forces that contribute to over-pronation. A full length ABZORB midsole with intelligent geometries provides inherent stability and a release
at impact. The lateral shapes and heel roundness are designed to react at impact and transition to midstance smoothly, while the T-BEAM technology assists in torsional stability in the shoe.

A post-applied dual density post is nestled onto the medial side which aims to further help prevent over-pronation. The 1260v5 continues with N2 cushioning in the heel which contributes to a plush response as the heel makes contact. New to the 1260v5 is N2 Burst technology in the forefoot, which is designed specifically for the moderate overpronator and configured with the intention to balance protection and flexibility when following through. Designed in tandem with a blown rubber forefoot, the 1260v5 raises the bar at toe-off like no other model in the NBx series. In the upper, FantomFit hugs the arch and midfoot to keep things in check, while visually sleek in style and compelling colors. Silky linings, multiple meshes and an OrthoLite® sock liner join together to embellish this runner with
a classy refined ride focused on the road ahead.

The 1260v5 utilizes existing New Balance technologies and foams, and brings them to life in a new configuration by increasing cushioning and guaranteeing a stable ride. With a classy, tasteful, yet ultramodern upper package, the newest update to the 1260 series will have runners wishing they overpronated.
