NEW BALANCE DEBUTS FRESH FOAM VONGO FOR APRIL 2016

Release Date: 29 Jun 2016
Fresh Foam Vongo

~~BOSTON, April 2015 – This Spring 2016, Boston-based New Balance will add to the Fresh Foam collection with the Fresh Foam Vongo. Fresh Foam Vongo is the first shoe under the Fresh Foam collection to offer mild stability, designed for runners who need light support but don’t want to sacrifice cushioning. The Fresh Foam Vongo will launch in April 2016 with a suggested retail price of $129.95

Harnessing the power of data driven design with the smarts of a human designer, the Fresh Foam collection boldly expands into the world of stability. Fresh Foam Vongo features a patent-pending overstuffed midsole that allows athletes to enjoy structure without a traditional medial post. The unique engineering of a single density foam with strategically placed outsole materials enhance both cushioning and create the stability that this runner needs. An aggressive channel underfoot separates the distinct rubber compounds and is engineered to slow pronation while tactically placed midsole flares, side wall shapes and an emboss pattern utilize intelligent geometries to enhance support in the Fresh Foam Vongo.

Engineered on a performance last with a 4mm midsole offset , Fresh Foam Vongo aims to provide runners with light support without sacrificing the soft underfoot feel runners have come to know in the Fresh Foam collection. The upper was also designed with support in mind, utilizing a bootie construction for a secure, comfortable fit. Perforations and emboss patterns around the saddle create additional support without losing flexibility or breathability.

Fresh Foam Vongo takes the soft, one piece midsole found in its Fresh Foam predecessors and adds in dynamic, light stability features that will appeal to runners who need a little support in their running shoe.
