Bio
Known as the “The Octopus” as a result of a headline grabbing performance in the 2009 Champions League in which he dominated the Manchester United midfield.
His breakout season is considered to be the 2010/2011campaign, when the Brazilian clocked up more than 3,000 minutes field time as FC Porto claimed a league, cup and Europa League treble.
Earning a move to Manchester City last year, Fernando has brought the same dogged enthusiasm, skill and aggression to the Premier League, sending fear through the top flight English football.
