Bio
Álvaro personifies the desire to do whatever it takes to succeed. Starting his career in the third tier of Spanish football with Rayo Vallecano, Negredo was bought by Real Madrid. After refusing to play a bit-part role, Negredo moved to Almeria where he netted 32 times in two seasons. This form led to Sevilla smashing their transfer record to purchase him, where he repaid their faith by scoring 70 goals in 139 appearances. In 2013, Negredo moved to the Premier League and scored 23 goals for Manchester City. Despite becoming a fan favourite, “The Beast” signed for Valencia on loan this season, returning to the fiercely competitive La Liga.
Negredo made his debut for Spain in 2009 and was part of the team that lifted the 2012 European Championship.
Quote
“My entire career has been about proving myself to others, evolving as a footballer all the time. The effort that goes into every goal is something that anyone I work with needs to understand. New Balance is the same, it is obsessed with every boot made, and every player and customer is an individual who has a perfect boot waiting for them.”
