Release Date: 01 Oct 2014
New Balance Fresh Foam Hierro

BOSTON, October 2014 – This Spring 2015, Boston-based New Balance will update the award winning Fresh Foam 980 Trail with the Fresh Foam Hierro trail runner. Designed with innovative technologies, the Fresh Foam Hierro provides a revolutionary approach to trail running by combining ultra-plush cushioning, a glove-like fit, and improved stability. The Fresh Foam Hierro will launch in Fall 2015 with a suggested retail price of $114.95.
Merging the intelligence and experience of a human designer with cutting edge computer software, New Balance is able to manipulate the midsole on the Fresh Foam Hierro to give runners plush cushioning properties and inherent stability in a more minimal package. By applying the same software design process to the outsole, Fresh Foam Hierro has an improved all-terrain lug pattern that allows for exceptional traction and a comfortably smooth ride. Fresh Foam Hierro is a ground-breaking running shoe engineered to bring natural underfoot geometries alongside a cushioned ride with a blend of super soft foam. An OrthoLite® insert and full-length EVA strobel board are paired with a 4 mm drop to provide both a light and stable ride.
The Fresh Foam Hierro has a lightweight, glove-like construction with a blend of synthetic and mesh materials for an exceptionally smooth fit. A gusseted tongue and debris-free upper has been constructed to help protect against unwanted debris. The
eye-catching design provides a versatile style both on and off
the trails.
With a lugged outsole and super soft cushioning, the Fresh Foam Hierro is the perfect combination of protection and comfort.
