Release Date: 22 Jul 2015
New Balance Baseball 4040v3

BOSTON, MA, November, 2014 – For fall 2015, New Balance will debut the 4040v3, an update to its premium baseball cleat offering featuring the New Balance Baseball Data-Driven Platform that incorporates player movement data into the design to create an optimal on-field platform for elite level players.

In creating this cleat, New Balance studied how players use their feet as a tool to generate power by collecting pressure-mapping data from professional, collegiate, and amateur athletes. In order to best support the explosive movements necessary at the highest level of competition, the 4040v3 features the New Balance Baseball Data-Driven Platform. The platform is an integrated system consisting of the midsole and the insert. A full-length REVlite RC Midsole provides premium responsiveness, and an engineered insert has a “drive zone” under the forefoot up into the big toe. In addition, Toe Protect, Debris-Free Tongue construction, and increased heel cushioning provide all-around comfort to keep athletes focused on their game.

The 4040v3 will be available in a range of sizes and widths starting in August 2015, for a suggested retail price of $100.00.
