NEW BALANCE INTRODUCES THE VAZEE SUMMIT FOR SPRING 2016

~~BOSTON, AUGUST 2015 – This spring, Boston-based New Balance will introduce the Vazee Summit, the first trail model in the Vazee collection. Inspired by and created with Team New Balance Outdoor athletes, the Vazee Summit offers the rugged technical attributes of a trail shoe with the go-fast attitude of a racing flat. The Vazee Summit will launch in April 2016 with the suggested retail price of $99.95.
 
The Vazee Summit aims to bring trail runners to new heights, merging the essence of the 110v2 Trail with the spirit of a racing flat. A REVLite midsole brings lightweight comfort, giving this trail athlete a shoe they can wear no matter the mileage. A no-sew upper allows for easier cleaning and weight reduction while the elevated eyelets reduce lacing pressure. A new, unique tongue construction provides enhanced mid-foot lock down for an overall secure fit. The Vazee Summit is ready to take on any rough terrain with a full forefoot ROCKSTOP® plate to protect the foot from protrusions, toe protect and a smooth midfoot outsole design for landing on stumps and rocks. To complete the outsole design a multi-directional lug pattern and Hydro-Hesion rubber improve traction for exceptional traction.

The Vazee Summit is the culmination of feedback from Team New Balance Outdoor elite trail runners, who continue to play a unique role in product design and production at New Balance. The insights and feedback gained through these athletes has aided the New Balance design team in providing innovative trail running shoes that can take on any terrain at any distance anywhere in the world.

Constructed on a racing last with a 10mm drop , the Vazee Summit expands upon the legacy of New Balance trail running by creating a shoe that delivers a smooth and responsive ride, even on the most technical terrain.
