Boston, MA – May 28, 2025 – New Balance today revealed the latest FC Porto Home Kit, set to be worn for the 2025/26 season in celebration of a decade-long relationship between the brand and the powerhouse Portuguese club.
Paying tribute to what FC Porto has described as a beautiful love story, the design revisits the very first New Balance jersey from the 2015/16 season — with a fresh twist. The iconic blue and white stripes are reimagined through a modern lens, now with an inverted stripe design when compared to the original design. This contemporary update is enriched with a sublimated geometric pattern, adding a new dimension to the club’s distinct look.
The kit is completed with traditional blue shorts and alternate white short options, offering flexibility in styling. Classic white socks bring the full look together in timeless fashion.
"We’re incredibly proud to mark ten years with FC Porto – a club steeped in heritage and passion. This kit is a tribute to our shared journey, combining history, identity and innovation in a single design,” says Kenny McCallum, Senior Director New Balance Football Product. “At New Balance, we believe football kits should connect emotionally with the people who wear them — whether on the pitch or in the stands — and we think this one truly captures what it means to be part of the FC Porto family."
New Balance has once again integrated cutting-edge performance technology across all 25/26 kits. Developed using NB Dry technology, the shirt features advanced moisture-wicking fabrics designed to help keep players cool and dry, both on and off the pitch. Precision detailing, including dimensional heat transfers and breathable side panels, ensures the highest standard in fit and comfort.
The campaign imagery that celebrates the decades long relationship is inspired by Porto’s proud culture and the unwavering connection between club, city, and fans. Highlighting that connection between sport and style, internationally renowned Portuguese model and actress Sara Sampaio is featured throughout the campaign — underscoring the intersection between global football and fashion.
From the FC Porto side, Tiago Gouveia, Marketing Director said, “Our essence is unchangeable. FC Porto will always be the blue and white stripes, and for us, these will always be the colours of fashion. We worked together with New Balance to find a design that honours our legacy while properly celebrating these ten years of partnership.”
“Sara Sampaio is the perfect choice for a year in which we’ll be competing in a global elite tournament. Just as FC Porto represents a region around the world, she is also a proud Portista and native of Porto who brings prestige to our roots on an international level. That’s why this connection, which would always be a source of pride, makes even more sense this year,” he adds.
In addition, New Balance and FC Porto will host a pop-up event in New York City (45 Grand Street) on Saturday, June 14th through Sunday, June 15th, allowing fans to connect with and celebrate the relationship, club and the beautiful game. The New Balance FC Porto home kit will be available to purchase on 28th May at 10:00am BST from www.newbalance.com and at selected FC Porto stores and retailers.
