Team New Balance Athlete Darius Bazley - OMN1S Low Berry Lime Horizontal Poster

Boston, MA (July 14, 2020) – Global athletic leader New Balance revealed the first low silhouette to the New Balance basketball product family, the OMN1S Low. The OMN1S Low in Berry Lime is made for players of the game who desire more flexibility in their play by incorporating New Balance’s own FuelCell, FitWeave, and Ultra Heel lock-in technology. The entire collection, including multiple colorways of the OMN1S Low and Lifestyle models (997 and 850) will be available on NewBalance.com with the suggested retail price ranging from $100 for the 850 to $140 for the OMN1S Low on July 30th; the official season restart date of the NBA.

“This silhouette was born out of a direct request from our consumers,” explained Jonathan Grondin, New Balance’s Design Director for Basketball. “Whenever we’d introduce a new OMN1S colorway on our social media platforms, our followers would always ask to create a low version. I’m really excited to see it go from comments on Instagram, to Darius wearing on court to finally into our consumers hands.”

The OMN1S Low Berry Lime pack was developed for players like Team New Balance Basketball Athlete and OKC Forward Darius Bazley – versatility on-court and 90’s style on the NBA runway. Formerly known as “the million-dollar intern,” Bazley completed a three-month internship at New Balance Global Headquarters in 2019 where he worked directly with product design and development teams. During his internship Darius worked with New Balance product teams to showcase the benefits of a low silhouette that enhances his particular style of play, allowing for more maneuverability for quick turns and explosive speed. Darius has been wearing various colorways on court for the Oklahoma City Thunder since January and will debut the latest Berry Lime with the team as the NBA returns to play.

“This is really exciting for me to see”, said Team NB Athlete and Oklahoma City Thunder player Darius Bazley. “I remember sitting with the design team when I was working as an Intern at the New Balance HQ and now I get to wear that shoe on court!”

Fans of the popular New Balance 997 and 850 silhouettes are also in luck, as the Berry Lime pack includes these popular lifestyle options.

No sheep allowed. No positions necessary. The OMN1S Low has arrived.
