NEW BALANCE UPDATES 880 NEUTRAL RUNNING SHOE FOR FALL 2015

Release Date: 01 Sep 2014
New Balance Running 880v5

Boston, September 2014 – For fall 2015 Boston-based New Balance will debut their latest update to the neutral cushioning category with the New Balance 880v5. The 880v5 is the ideal shoe for the high mileage runner who demands a resilient, dependable ride with reliability and responsiveness. As the go-to neutral cushioning offer, this update delivers more inherent stability specifically at toe-off and an enhanced, soft upper. The New Balance 880v5 will debut in July 2015 at specialty retailers with the suggested retail price of $119.95.

The 880v5 continues to give its fans the same comfortable fit and feel but with a more durable, uber-cushioned ride with just the right amount of protection. A two part cushioning system of ABZORB and ACTEVA in the midsole allow for a dialed in relationship of these two foams to help with shock absorption and responsiveness. T-BEAM technology is engineered in combination with ground contact to ensure a smooth transition at mid-stance, as torsional stability in the shoe remains crucial to the 880 series. Blown rubber is ample in the forefoot and compliments the responsive cushioning of this go-to shoe.

The upper design on the 880v5 features a combination of stretchy, breathable air mesh and FantomFit to ensure additional arch support and security for this runner mile after mile. A neoprene stretch tongue and OrthoLite® sock liner are sweet additions to the 880 series that help make it stand out in the neutral category.

The 880 series has always focused on a mission of powerful and durable cushioning, and the 880v5 maintains this stance in the New Balance line-up as the workhorse, mileage pounding shoe. New Balance designers and engineers hyper-focused on keeping this runner happy, and only made tweaks and changes to the 880 in order to serve up a better ride.
