Boston, MA – Today New Balance revealed details surrounding its official launch of the OMN1S basketball shoe including seven new colorways releasing in larger quantities and an exclusive New Balance x Shoe Palace pop-up shop in Los Angeles titled Kawhi’s Fun House. @NewBalanceHoops showcased the first OMN1S colorway with gold accents and ice bottoms dropping October 23rd after Kawhi Leonard’s debut game in Los Angeles – a moment that will officially signify New Balance’s re-entry into basketball. WE GOT NOW.

The name OMN1S is derived from the Latin omnis, a word meaning “of everything”. New Balance’s debut basketball shoe was made for the modern day positionless player. “As the game has changed, there is a versatility to the player on the court now that there has never been before. The OMN1S was built for a player like Kawhi Leonard that can do it all. It’s designed to represent what we want New Balance to represent on and off the court. Game speaks for itself,” said Jonathan Grondin, Creative Design Manager at New Balance. Grondin led the team that began designing the OMN1S three years ago, when New Balance refocused on becoming a top-three global athletic brand – a goal that necessitated a strategic and long-term plan to re-enter the basketball space.

No sheep allowed. No positions necessary. The OMN1S delivers the speed and responsiveness champions need for positionless, full-court play. The full-length FuelCell midsole unleashes the speed and bounce players need to explode in the moment. A 3D Ultra Heel construction and infused FitWeave upper team up for a long-lasting, locked-in fit that screams buckets. New Balance declares a new day, so hold the talk. Play the game. The OMN1S has landed.

The New Balance x Shoe Palace pop-up shop titled Kawhi’s Fun House will be open to the public from October 18th - 20th at Shoe Palace’s Melrose Ave retail location in Los Angeles. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase exclusive New Balance footwear and apparel while experiencing Kawhi’s “Fun Guy” persona firsthand. Over the course of three days, six player exclusive OMN1S colorways will drop in limited quantities, including Best Kept Secret, Trust Leonard, Black Ice, Do Not Disturb, Distinct Beast and, lastly, a special Los Angeles edition.
