#RUNTOTHEPOLLS ENCOURAGES BETCHES TO EXERCISE THEIR RIGHT TO VOTE

Release Date: 08 Nov 2018
#runtothepolls
BOSTON, MA Global athletic leader New Balance with multi-platform media company Betches launch a digital campaign encouraging millennials to exercise their right to vote. #RUNTOTHEPOLLS combines Betches’ authentic “tell it how it is” voice with New Balance’s Fearlessly Independent ethos through custom social memes, content and a double-decker bus activation transporting voters to polls on Election Day.

Betches Media is a multi-platform media destination for female millennials to experience the thoughts that run through their heads but are too afraid or uncomfortable to say out loud. Over the past seven years, Betches has evolved into a robust media company, including the expansion of The SUP, Betches’ news and politics vertical that includes a daily newsletter, podcast and more.

“At New Balance, we encourage and celebrate freedom of expression of all kinds! Through our collaboration with Betches, we’re excited to inspire and move young voters to #RUNTOTHEPOLLS and declare their voice and independence through their vote,” said Allie Tsavdarides, New Balance Director of Global Marketing.

On Tuesday, November 6th during Election Day, a double-decker bus is scheduled to pick-up young New York residents at frequented locations to drop-off at polling sites around Manhattan. Voters are encouraged to enjoy the bus’s “say out loud” atmosphere curated by New Balance and Betches including sign-making and music.

“In today’s political climate, exercising your right to vote has never been more important, especially within the millennial age group.” said Samantha Fishbein, Betches Media co-founder and COO. “We’re thrilled to partner with New Balance to get millennials voting, and we are equally as excited to celebrate young voters who are making a difference one vote at a time.”
