Although Alex started triathlon as an eight year old, he has exceptional run pedigree having represented Great Britain on the track at World Youth Championships, World Junior Championships, the 2018 European Track & Field Championships and the European Cross Country Championships. He has recovered from a horrific bike accident, whilst racing in Sardinia in June 2017, crashing into a concrete bollard, suffering broken ribs, vertebrae and a collapsed lung. After some notable results in 2019 (Cape Town and Abu Dhabi), he’s secured his start in Tokyo with at 4th place finish in Yokohama WTS and his first WTS win in Leeds.
