NEW BALANCE UNVEILS THE NEW TWO WXY V3 HIGH PERFORMANCE BASKETBALL SHOE

The Third Iteration Continues to be Built on the Brand’s Powerful FuelCell Platform Providing Power and Energy Return for the TWO WXY Player

Boston, MA – September 26th, 2022 – Today, New Balance officially announced the release of the TWO WXY V3, the third iteration remains under the FuelCell platform and is packed with design and tech built for the position-less player. The first colorway of the TWO WXY v3, called Cerebral, will be available at New Balance retail stores, www.newbalance.com and select retailers November 4th, 2022 with the suggested retail price of $120.

“The TWO WXY V3 is truly built with our athletes in mind and inspired by the continued evolution of who they are on and off the court,” says Trent Casper, New Balance Basketball GM. “We’re thrilled to deliver best-in-class technology for a shoe that includes lightweight stability and bold design, that is grounded in how our players are wired differently.”

The TWO WXY v3 Cerebral colorway comes in a black with pops of electric red and blue inspired by the player who prepares for the game on the court and in the mind. The TWO WXY v3 continues to utilize FuelCell cushioning technology seen across New Balance performance models in other sport categories such as running, tennis and baseball. FuelCell lays the foundation with a high-performance energy return midsole in combination with ABZORB in the heel for additional impact protection. The ABZORB Dynamic Response System (DRS) and TPU shank in the midsole has been tuned for the modern hoops athlete to provide unparalleled stability and dynamic court feel in a responsive ride with a lightweight, molded mesh upper to complete the TWO WXY v3 design.

“Bringing the entire hoops roster together as they prepare for the 2022-2023 NBA season was a way to celebrate the new TWO WXY v3 but also show how these guys have become a family, and that feeling was palpable at the shoot,” says Desron Dorset, New Balance Head of Basketball Marketing. “All of these guys are changing the game in their own way and to bring them together and have them naturally interact on set and hoop like they did growing up was incredible to see and capture through this campaign.” The entire New Balance Hoops family of athletes: Jamal Murray, Zach LaVine, Dejounte Murray, Darius Bazley, Aaron Nesmith and Kawhi Leonard appear in the spot and enjoy time together before the season begins and they meet on opposite sides of the paint.

Additional colorways will launch throughout the season and will continue to tell stories about the talented athletes who are a part of the New Balance family. Key colorways include Jamaica which draws inspiration from Jamal Murray’s roots, Windy City that honors Zach LaVine’s home away from home, Stonecutters that plays into the nostalgia of the game for Dejounte Murray and other colors that give fans insight into the athletes that they love.

Team New Balance Basketball Athletes all showcased the new TWO WXY v3 while attending their team 2022 NBA Media Week in versions that were unique to their teams, bringing expressive colors to the court while being engineered specifically for the most versatile players in the game.
