Los Angeles, CA and Boston, MA (April 12, 2023) –Klutch Athletics by New Balance, a new sportswear brand from Rich Paul, is proud to welcome second overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft Chase Young as the first ambassador for the brand. This also names Chase as the first American Football athlete for New Balance, marking the brand’s official foray into the new category.
“I’m excited to welcome Chase to Klutch Athletics,” said Klutch Athletics Founder and CEO Rich Paul. “He aligns perfectly with the brand based on his talent, his values and his fit with our team. In Chase, I see someone who embodies the spirit of what it means to Be Klutch. We are focused on uplifting and empowering all athletes, and I believe Chase will help us achieve that.”
Young was the second overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and had a standout rookie season. “I am honored to be the first athlete to join Klutch Athletics by New Balance and to work with the design team on the collection,” said Chase Young. “As an athlete I always want training apparel that meets the grueling demands of everyday training but can also be mixed in with other pieces from my closet and worn outside of the gym. It is clear Klutch Athletics by New Balance has put athletes first and I am excited to make history with both brands.”
“New Balance’s goal is to live at the intersection of sport and culture. Chase’s dynamic personality and on-field performance make him the ideal athlete to represent Klutch Athletics and be introduced as New Balance’s first NFL ambassador,” said New Balance Chief Marketing Officer and SVP of Merchandising Chris Davis. “Chase joining the New Balance family is emblematic of our commitment to performance innovation and our vision of working with athletes who are a reflection of our values as a brand. Chase will play a fundamental role in developing our new American Football cleats.”
As the first New Balance American Football athlete, Chase will work closely with the brand’s design team on new and innovative American football cleats that will launch in 2024. New Balance’s entry into the American Football scene is a testament to its strength in team sports and understanding of an athlete’s needs. Working with athletes such as Chase Young and sportswear brand Klutch Athletics helps New Balance bring the best in innovative gear to all athletes.
