Kith is proud to announce its official collaboration with New Balance to create Made in USA 998s, inspired by the work of Frank Lloyd Wright — celebrating the silhouettes’ 35th anniversary.
Frank Lloyd Wright is revered as America’s most famous architect—designing some of the most beautiful buildings in the world. The work of Frank Lloyd Wright inspires people to discover and embrace architecture for better living through meaningful connections to nature, the arts, and each other. . The collection was shot on location in Scottsdale, Arizona at Taliesin West, Frank Lloyd Wright’s last winter home and studio and features Taliesin West staff members.
The collaboration on the New Balance Made in USA 998 features a classic mesh upper, with pigskin suede and hairy suede overlay panels adding a varied sense of texture. The color palette is pulled from the architectural sketches and models of Frank Lloyd Wright’s futuristic conceptual city, Broadacre City. The model is offered in two unique colorways, highlighting creamy white alongside earthy brick red, warm apricot, and olive green.
Releasing this Friday, 4/14 exclusively in-store at Kith Tokyo, where Ronnie will sign pairs for the first 25 customers. The second release is on Saturday, 4/15 through a pop-up in the Cabaret Theater inside Taliesin West in Scottsdale, Arizona. The model will be available Monday 4/17 at all Kith shops, at 11 AM EST on Kith.com, 11 AM CET on EU.Kith.com & the Kith App and globally on NewBalance.com starting 4/24. Suggested retail pricing is $220 USD.
