Aminé x New Balance ABZORB 2000 ‘Biblioteca’

A Love Letter to Libraries and the Pursuit of Knowledge

Boston, MA, October 2025 – For his latest collaboration with New Balance, Portland-based rapper and songwriter Aminé lends his design ethos to the new ABZORB 2000. Dressing the entire shoe in a bold, bright green inspired by his home county’s official logo, the ‘Biblioteca’ acts as a love letter to local libraries and the impact they’ve had on his life.

“The design was inspired by my local library growing up,” said Aminé. “I spent so much time there and it made up such a big part of my identity, that it was something I had to pay homage to. The library card, the colors, all of it brings back childhood memories that I cherish.”

A progressive, experimental design highlighting the distinctive features and style of 2000s running- inspired classics, the ABZORB 2000 utilizes a full-length combination of ABZORB cushioning and ABZORB SBS pods. Together with its minimalist-influenced upper design, the model provides a new way of looking at visible tech. For his collaborative take on the new silhouette, Aminé dresses the entire upper in bright green mesh with glossy, synthetic, tonal overlays. Embroidered heel branding accompanies a co-branded tongue tag to mark the occasion.

The Aminé x New Balance ABZORB 2000 ‘Bibloteca’ will be available globally on NewBalance.com and at select retailers on October 9, 2025, for a suggested retail price of $180 USD.
