Boston, MA – March 6, 2025 – Today, New Balance and reigning National League MVP and World Series Champion Shohei Ohtani, announce new items to The Ohtani Signature Collection leading up to the MLB Tokyo Series in Japan.

The range of on-field performance apparel and off-field essentials features updated colors and styles, ready for the new season. The pieces draw inspiration from the game itself, incorporating designs and details inspired by baseball heritage. The collection adds classic blue and beige tones to the popular Woven Nylon Jacket, Top, Short and Pant and updated Signature Logo Tees. For cold-weather training, new colors drop in the Fleece line, including hoodies, shorts and pants. New collection items this season include Performance and Training tops and Raglan Tees, perfect for athletes transitioning from on to off the field. Each piece features Shohei’s logo, a sketch of him rounding first base, showcasing his love of the game that shines most evidently through his base running ability and unique talents as a two-way player.

“At its core, Shohei’s signature mark is about a commitment he made as a young boy who loved the game to have constant forward momentum, and even at the peak of his craft, to push further than anyone thought possible,” says Evan Zeder, Director of Global Sports Marketing for Baseball at New Balance. “The inspiration behind his signature collection deeply represents his personal values and ours as a brand, and this next evolution reflects that. New Balance is so proud of Shohei after such a historic year, and we look forward to what is to come this season.”

The Tokyo Series kicks off the MLB season in Shohei’s hometown, running from March 15-19. The LA Dodgers will play two exhibition games against the Yomiuri Giants and the Hanshin Tigers on March 15 and 16, before facing off against the Chicago Cubs on March 18 and 19.

To celebrate Shohei’s homecoming after a historic year, fans can visit The Ohtani Tokyo Pop-Up Experience from March 15 to 23 in Shibuya for daily programming, activations, and highlights from the logo creation story. The Made for Shohei Ohtani Capsule Collection will feature three baseball-inspired apparel items exclusive to pop-up consumers and includes a 990v6 available online only in Japan.
