New Balance Celebrates Grand Opening of Salt Lake City Distribution Center
Salt Lake City, Utah – October 7, 2025 – Boston-based global athletic leader New Balance officially opened its state-of-the-art Salt Lake City Distribution Center (SLC DC) today, marking a major milestone in the brand’s commitment to operational excellence, customer experience, and community investment. The new facility will play a central role in New Balance’s North American distribution network, supporting faster delivery timelines and streamlined service for wholesale, retail, and digital channels.
Located in Salt Lake City’s Northwest Quadrant, the 806,000-square-foot facility features cutting-edge technology including robots, autonomous vehicles, and six miles of conveyance. It will handle footwear, apparel, and accessories, with a capacity to receive and ship approximately 100,000 units per day across two shifts.

With our new footprint in Salt Lake City, we’re better positioned to meet our customer promise every day.”
The grand opening event welcomed associates, community leaders, and New Balance executives for a celebratory ribbon-cutting and town hall. Attendees heard from leadership about the company’s vision for the site and its role in supporting New Balance’s mission to move the world forward.

The SLC DC has successfully onboarded AM and PM shifts, now comprised of more than 80 New Balance associates. With approximately four million units received to date and about one million outbound already processed, the facility is quickly ramping up to manage all West Coast inbound and outbound volume.
