NEW BALANCE LAUNCHES LIMITED EDITION TIMOTHY WEAH INSPIRED FOOTBALL BOOT

5TH SEPTEMBER 2023 – Today New Balance is revealing US professional and Juventus star striker Timothy Weah’s first limited edition boot, called New Balance Timothy Weah Queens’ Finest.

As one of America’s breakout stars, the New Balance Timothy Weah Queens’ Finest boot draws inspiration from Tim’s roots in Queens, NY and his unrelenting quest to be the best.

The Queens’ Finest colourway arrives in an eye-catching red, white and blue, showing Tim’s dedication to his national team. A stunning pearlized white upper is combined with navy stars flowing from the heel, along with a red-and-white logo to create a totally unique, US inspired boot.

Growing up in Queens, New York City, Tim has always dreamt of being a professional footballer and going on to play for the USMNT. But just making the team is not enough, and Queens’ Finest represents the next step in his journey to reach the very top for his club, country and his city. The unique design also taps into Tim’s independence and freedom of expression, something he is passionate about to help him develop a sense of freedom both on-and-off the pitch.

Speaking about his new boot, Tim said: “It’s a dream come true to have my first custom New Balance Tekela colourway, and having something so personal to my journey is even better. My country, but also the borough of Queens, are incredibly close to my heart, so being able to wear them on the pitch with me is a truly special moment.”

Andrew McGarty, Head of Global Sports Marketing at New Balance said: “Tim is one of the brightest talents to ever play for USA, and we wanted to create a unique colourway that showcases his passion for his nation. We always want to produce custom product that really taps into who our ambassadors are, on and off the pitch, and the Queens’ Finest boot highlights Tim’s patriotism, independence, and creativity.”

The New Balance Timothy Weah Queens’ Finest boot is grounded in the latest version of brand’s football boot, the Tekela v4 Low – a laced version of the incredibly popular Tekela v4.
