Boston, MA – August 5, 2025 – Today, New Balance proudly announces the signing of Jeremiyah Love, a rising star running back from the University of Notre Dame. Fresh off a National Championship appearance, he joins a growing roster of athletes, including Marvin Harrison Jr. and Chase Young, as the brand continues its push into American football.
The St. Louis, Missouri native ranks as one of the top running backs in college football headed into the upcoming season. In his standout sophomore campaign with the Irish, he rushed for 1,125 yards, scored 17 touchdowns and averaged 6.9 yards per carry. Known for his breakaway speed and highlight-reel hurdles, Jeremiyah helped lead Notre Dame to a 14-2 record in 2024, including seven wins over ranked opponents.
“Joining the New Balance family is more than just a partnership – it’s a chance to be part of something bigger,” says Jeremiyah. “From my first conversation with the brand, I knew it was the right fit for me and my family. I’m all about comfort, and I’m excited to go on this journey with a brand that supports me and helps me perform at the highest level.”
Since launching into American football in June 2024, New Balance has brought a fresh, athlete-first perspective to the sport. As the intelligent choice for better-fitting cleated product, the brand develops its cleats through wear testing at the New Balance Sports Research Lab, a process that Jeremiyah will play a key role in to help shape the next generation of performance footwear.
Off the field, Jeremiyah will work with New Balance to host community events in South Bend, Indiana and his hometown of St. Louis, furthering the brand’s commitment to community and empowering the next generation of athletes.
“Jeremiyah brings a rare combination of athleticism, intelligence, and heart to everything he does," says Naveen Lokesh, Head of Global Sports Marketing for American Football and Basketball at New Balance. “He’s a game-changer on the field and a thoughtful leader off of it. His drive and commitment to uplifting those around him makes him a perfect fit for New Balance. We’re thrilled to welcome him to the family and very excited for what’s ahead.”
