We are deeply saddened by the devastating impact of the wildfires in Southern California and have been working to ensure the safety and well-being of our LA-based associates, athletes, ambassadors, friends and families.
We care greatly about the communities in which we operate, which is why New Balance Foundation (NBF) has pledged $2 million to Los Angeles fire relief efforts. To fund immediate needs, NBF will donate $500,000 to the American Red Cross and $500,000 to World Central Kitchen. These donations are in addition to the support NBF already provides both organizations through their annual disaster giving programs. In the coming months, NBF will distribute the remaining $1 million to non-profit organizations helping meet the unique challenges of re-building the Los Angeles community.
New Balance is also donating footwear and apparel to those impacted by the wildfires through Shoes That Fit and Good Sports and will match our associate’s donations to non-profit organizations serving the community. We will continue to work to find meaningful ways to support Southern California in this time of tremendous need.
