THE 2023 NEW BALANCE NATIONALS INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIP WILL BE HELD AT THE BRAND’S BOSTON CAMPUS

Boston, MA – October 3, 2022 – Today New Balance announced that the 2023 New Balance Nationals Indoor Championship is coming to Boston. The meet will be held March 10th-12th at The TRACK at New Balance, located on the brands world headquarters campus in Boston, Massachusetts.

The Track at New Balance had its official opening last spring and has already seen a world record performance on the lighting fast track. A team comprising of New Balance stars Heather MacLean, Kendall Ellis and Elle Purrier, joined by then high school senior, the 2022 New Balance Nationals Indoor 800m champion and soon to be world junior 800m champion Roisin Willis, smashed the world distance medley relay record by over 6 seconds. The time of 10:33.85 shattered the previous record of 10:39.91.

New Balance Nationals Indoor has proven to be the pinnacle HS track and field event, hosting over 3,500 athletes annually, and just last year, the Championships featured the three fastest high school only races in history (Men’s 800m, Men’s mile, and Women’s mile). The 2023 event will give the future world record holders and world champions the opportunity to compete for national titles on a new, state-of-the-art track. Highlights from the 2022 New Balance Nationals Indoor can be found on the New Balance Running Instagram page, and on the New Balance Nationals website.

“The TRACK at New Balance is an incredible venue to compete in and we are really looking forward to hosting the best athletes from around the country this winter,” said Tom Carleo, Vice President of Performance Running at New Balance. “With one record already set within this facility we can’t wait to watch the future greats of Track & Field set more records on this incredibly fast track. This event is all about running fast and then celebrating that hard work and we are excited to host this event this year.”

The TRACK at New Balance includes a 200m hydraulically banked indoor track, a dedicated throwing area, over 24,000sf athlete warm up area, a sophisticated Sports Research Lab, Broken Records Beer Hall and the Roadrunner music venue operated by Bowery Presents. Located across from New Balance’s global headquarters at Boston Landing, The TRACK at New Balance joins the Auerbach Center -- the official practice facility for the Boston Celtics, the Warrior Ice Arena -- the official practice facility for the Boston Bruins, and the Boston Landing MBTA commuter rail stop as the premier destination for sports in New England.
