THE 2024 NEW BALANCE NATIONALS INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIP WILL BE HELD AT THE TRACK AT NEW BALANCE AND REGGIE LEWIS TRACK AND ATHLETIC CENTER

Boston, MA 3/4/2024 –New Balance announced that the 2024 New Balance Nationals Indoor Championship is coming back to Boston. The meet will be held March 7th-10th at both the Reggie Lewis Center at Roxbury Community College (March 7th-9th) and The TRACK at New Balance (March 10th), located at New Balance’s world headquarters campus in Boston. The TRACK at New Balance hosted the iconic New Balance Nationals Indoor Championship last spring and looks forward to hosting part of the event again this year. The TRACK at New Balance will also host the 2024 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships (March 8-9th).

The TRACK at New Balance has seen national and world record performances on the lightning-fast track since its opening in 2022. At A Night at The TRACK in 2022, a team comprising of New Balance stars Heather MacLean, Kendall Ellis and Elle Purrier, joined by then high school senior, Roisin Willis, broke the world distance medley relay record by over six-seconds. At last year’s New Balance Grand Prix, New Balance team member, Femke Bol continued the trend and smashed the 500m world record.

Likewise, the Reggie Lewis Track Center is another iconic track that has hosted 39 Indoor Track and Field American and World Records over the years – including the 2024 Massachusetts and New England High School Championships.

New Balance Nationals Indoor has proven to be the pinnacle high school track and field event. Last year’s championships at the TRACK at New Balance hosted over 5,700 athletes with 18,000 spectators over three days, the most the event has ever had. Last year featured six national records (Girl’s 4x800m, Boy’s 200m, Girl’s 200m – broken in the prelims and finals, Boy’s 5000m, and Boy’s 60m), including a U20 World Best in the Girl’s 200m. The 2024 New Balance Nationals Indoor will give the future world record holders and world champions the opportunity to compete for national titles on two state-of-the-art tracks. Highlights from the 2023 New Balance Nationals Indoor can be found on the New Balance Running Instagram page, and on the New Balance Nationals website.

“March 7th through 9th weekend is going to be an incredibly exciting few days for the city of Boston, fans of track and field, and all of us at New Balance,” said Tom Carleo, New Balance’s Vice President of Performance Running. “To host two pinnacle track meets on the same weekend will bring an excitement to viewers as they watch inspiring performances from the future of the sport. We are so proud to host and showcase these athletes and teams in Boston and at the TRACK at New Balance.”

The TRACK at New Balance includes a 200m hydraulically banked indoor track, a dedicated throwing area, a 24,000 square foot athlete warm up area, a sophisticated Sports Research Lab, Broken Records Beer Hall, and the Roadrunner music venue operated by Bowery Presents. Located across from New Balance’s global headquarters at Boston Landing, The TRACK at New Balance joins the Auerbach Center – the official practice facility for the Boston Celtics, the Warrior Ice Arena – the official practice facility for the Boston Bruins, and the Boston Landing MBTA commuter rail stop as the premier destination for sports in New England.
