Release Date: 30 Jun 2015

BOSTON, JUNE 2015 – For Summer 2015 Boston-based New Balance will release a women’s capsule collection that complements the transition from season to season with unique textiles and rich colors. The women’s only styles offer a variety of unique street wear inspired looks.

Tartan Collection (July 1)

The women’s Tartan Collection introduces the New Balance 999 and 1600 into the women’s portfolio. Taken from the New Balance archives, these mid-90’s styles are two popular men’s silhouettes often offered in men’s Elite Edition packs and collaborations. The addition of these two styles for women expands the New Balance women’s style range offering a wider variety for the fashion and sneaker fan.

Inspired by traditional tartans, the 999, 1600 and 580 are done in suede with pops of tartan on the toe, tongue and collar. The Tartan Collection will be available beginning July 1 for a suggested retail price of $109.95 – 119.95.

Shadows Collection (July 1)

Telling a monochromatic story, the women’s Shadows Collection includes five styles in two silhouettes – the 999 and 696. The upper is done in jewel tones with iced rubber soles. The 999 includes a pixilated polka dot pattern on the lining. The Shadows Collection will be available beginning July 1 for a suggested retail price of $79.95 – 109.95.

Composite Collection (July 1)

Inspired by the trend towards women’s fashion borrowed from the boys, the women’s Composite Collection includes five styles in two silhouettes – the 580 and 420. The classic styles are updated with subtle feminine details and colors. The upper is done in suede and mesh with neon color pops and the 580 includes a woven mesh and speckled outsole.
